Komen Race for the Cure

On Sunday, September 16th, the Komen Race for the Cure was held at the waterfront in Bangor. MSAD 48 had 55 participants take part in the event by completing the 5K walk or by "sleeping for the cure" in which members paid the registration fee but slept in the day of the walk. MSAD 48 is proud to be participants of this event as we honor many staff members that have battled breast cancer!

Michelle Duprey was recently recognized at the Hall of Flags for her work with the Take Time! program. Take Time! is a program designed to increased physical activity into the school day. This is in addition to recess and physical education. Michelle has championed the effort at Hartland Conslidated. She has led a school wide walk three days a week, where ALL students and teachers walk for 20 minutes. Great work Michelle!
